Public service announcement: Minki Kim’s latest book is here! Ever the ones to scoop up the latest quilty read, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on Diary in Stitches, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
The LP&Q contributor, known for her charming thread illustration and homespun aesthetic, has just released her second title, following on from her first: Sew Illustrated (co-written with her dear friend and talented quilter, Kristin Esser).
It all started with a promise Minki made to herself: one drawing a day. From that, a whole world of ‘pretty projects to make you smile’ were born, covering everything from stitched Christmas icons to ‘medium motifs for a special day’.
Six thoughtful projects are the perfect way to apply the skills learnt in Sew Illustrated to useful (and beautiful) homewares, while 65 stitchable motifs are on hand to embellish your handiwork with. Walk away with a patchwork pouch, statement pillow, whimsical wallhanging and more, and learn how to carefully craft each one with a whole load of personality. Whether you’re already a Minki Kim fan, or are simply looking for a way to inject a little whimsy into your home accessories, Diary in Stitches is any stitcher’s dream.
