Hands up who made it along to The Festival of Quilts this past weekend! We had the pleasure of spending a few days at the show – admiring quilts, stroking fabrics and meeting up with all of our quilty pals. Here’s a handful of our top picks from the event:
We loved the way that these V&Co Ombre Metallic fabrics flowed in Maria Coxon’s rainbow Bargello design.
Past LP&Q contributor Lisa’s vibrant blue and orange quilt caught our eyes as we wondered past the competition quilts!
Angela Hounsell’s Sewology quilt blocks pop against a dramatic dark background.
Who can resist Violet Craft’s clever FPP cow pattern!? Teresa Summerfield combined cotton and linen for a textured effect.
We’ve loved seeing Kitty Wilkin’s Tiny Sampler blocks pop up on our Instagram feeds this year – they’re even tinier than you’d expect in real life!
How striking are these moths in Jessamie Self and Trudi Wood’s group quilt?! The colours, the quilting… swoon!
Speaking of quilting, check out the intricate patterns Tatyana Duffie has stitched over her geometric design.
Paula’s dreamy colour palette and pop of stripes tick ALL the boxes for us!
If we were to pick a favourite improv quilt from the event, Sophie Zaugg’s Flashback design would certainly be up there!
…accompanied by the lovely Nicholas Ball’s signature triangles.
And of course, we got super excited when we saw past LP&Q quilts proudly on display – like this Pickle Dish beauty by Jo Avery!
