Friday Fabric: Liberty love

Liberty Fabrics Summer 2017

Here on the Love Patchwork & Quilting team, our soft spot for Liberty prints is no secret… so we’re pretty excited to discover an online fabric stash that takes dedication to the ‘prints that pack a punch’ to the next level…

We first developed a full on fabric-crush on Duck Egg Threads while working with them on our issue 47 Quilt-As-You-Go Handbook. We discovered they were born from a love of Liberty, when Sarah (the shop’s founder) spotted the desire of quilters to get their hands on smaller cuts of the luxurious fabrics for patchwork projects. She launched their shop with them in mind and 3 years’ later,  Duck Egg Threads now stocks a vast array of delicious Liberty cuts. We’ve picked out a few of our faves, from the 2017 Liberty Tana Lawn Castaway collection:

Alongside a treasure trove of Liberty to browse, they’ve also added one of the largest ranges of  Pure Elements (the solid blenders from Art Gallery Fabrics) to their stash, not to mention notions and our Digi Editor Zoe was especially excited to discover their Christmas Colours fabrics… as that’s how she rolls.

If you have a weakness for Liberty, check out their We Love Liberty monthly club. They’re offering new subscriptions offering Liberty addicts the chance to start or add to their Liberty Tana Lawn collections. Find out how to sign up for the prettiest of post over at

If you’ve got a birthday or special occasion coming up, we suggest you leave this page open on your phone or tablet and hope that family members or friends see it and take the hint!
