Listen to our Editor Jenny Fox-Proverbs chat all things magazines and quilting with Stephanie Kendron on the latest Modern Sewciety podcast!
Jenny was thrilled to bits to be invited onto Modern Sewciety. The LPQ team have long enjoyed Stephanie’s fun, informal chats with all our favourite designers and personalities from the world of sewing and quilting.
The Modern Sewciety podcasts are an amazing way to get to know your favourite crafters even better. Listening to them speak and, thanks to Stephanie, laugh is such a pleasure! It’s also wonderful for discovering new people – before you know it you feel as if you could easily chat for days someone you’d never heard of before.
After the recording, Jenny confessed:
‘I was so nervous – I love to talk, but knowing that you’re being recorded (especially for Modern Sewciety – all those quilty listeners!) is a little nerve wracking to say the least. By the end, Stephanie had put me totally at ease and I’d forgotten all about the podcast. I was just having a fun Skype chat at my computer at home. I took a quick pic of myself for the artwork as soon as we’d finished. You can see that I was feeling pretty relaxed by then, and looking forward to a well earned cup of tea!’
You also have the chance to hear Jenny’s accent – a mix of Scottish and West Country that makes for a unique listening experience!
By chance, Jenny shares the podcast with Sewvivor winner and Snips Snippets blogger Nicole Calvert.
Love Patchwork & Quilting not only sponsored the competition, but will be featuring Nicole’s winning quilt in issue 17 of the magazine, on sale 7th January. It’s a must-make!
