It’s turned chilly here at LPQ headquarters here in the UK. We love it when the morning turn frosty and nights get dark as we have the perfect excuse to stay home and quilt, but this doesn’t stop us from planning holidays for the new year as we sew! The thought of a getaway that’s filled with fabric and quilting ticks all our boxes, and topping our wish list for 2018 is a Stitchtopia trip to Vietnam with Pat Archibald.
The Textures of Vietnam holiday is a 15-night trip taking place next November. The tour will take holiday makers on a journey around Vietnam’s most famous destinations, from Saigon to the Mekong Delta and Hanoi. Quilting pro Pat Archibald will lead the group, sharing her expertise of the rich history of textiles in the area as they go. She’ll also hold three textiles and quilting workshops along the way: following visits to a weaving school and batik artist/ indigo dyer. The tour will also visit a silk lantern workshop, discovering the history of the lanterns and how they’re made. Sounds heavenly!
