Pantone, the geniuses who have standardised colour around the world for designers, have announced their ‘Color of the Year’ for 2014 as Radiant Orchid!

So obviously the first thing we did was to race to our fabric stash and start pulling anything with this beautiful purple, lilac, amethyst hue – old or new. Pantone Radiant Orchid isn’t as popular a colour as many, but it’s now sure to be having its moment in 2014, in fashion, interiors and of course, quilting!
