How to construct your quilt block

Step one: Join a Fabric A and Fabric B 1in x 3in strip along the long edges. Repeat to make a second unit.

Step two: Join a Fabric D square to each side of a Fabric A square. Repeat to make a second unit.

Step three: Join the Fabric D/A units to each side of a Fabric C 114in x 3in strip to complete the block centre.

Step four: Take the Fabric A/B strip units and sew to the top and bottom of the block centre.

Step five: Join the Fabric C 112in x 5in strips to each side of the block.

Step six: Turn the block on point (using the layout diagram for reference) and trim to a 312in square, discarding any excess Fabric.

Step seven: Repeat the steps to make a total of four 312in squares.

Step eight: Sew the squares together as shown. Trim to 612in square to complete the block.
