We’re busy stitching up super-speedy half-square triangles and square-in-squares today, inspired by Lynne Goldsworthy‘s Rainbow Brights star quilt in issue 41. This colour-popping quilt top design is a brilliant way to have fun with solids, but before you reach for your rotary cutters to join us, wait! We’ve got a handy downloadable quilt planner to help you plan your design, ensuring you only cut the fabric you’ll actually need.
For each star of Lynne’s quilt, you’ll need one 7 ½in solid square for the outer HSTs and one 5 ½in solid square for the square-in-square centre unit. We find it helps to plan our design so we can calculate how much fabric we’ll need before we start cutting… give it a go and download our free quilters layout diagram here.
